Meat loaf was a staple for me from childhood to college, but somehow this was the first time I’ve made it as a married woman. And somehow, I never memorized/wrote-down/preserved-in-any-way my mom’s recipe. And I already have her typing up about five other recipes I want. So I thought I’d find a new one. Who knew there were so many meat loaf recipes?! I stumbled upon an Elton Brown recipe that looked amazing…and then discovered I was missing a lot of the ingredients. So instead of going back and looking for a different recipe…I “tweaked” his to the point where it really isn’t remotely the same. So here’s my take on his recipe.
